First page of An Interview With Lyn Corno
A Pioneer of Theory and Research on Self-Regulated Learning, Adaptive Teaching, Homework, and Volition

Given her scholarly bellwether, professional leadership, and passion for fostering theory and research on self-regulated learning, adaptive teaching, homework, and volition, it is not surprising that I have interviewed Lyn Corno for a second time in this volume. Similarly, it is worth noting that Education Review invited Corno to write a chapter for their Acquired Wisdom series. Corno is a retired professor of education and psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, where she joined the faculty in 1982. Currently, she is features editor of Teachers College Record, a position she has held for over 20 years. Corno also edited the American Educational Research Journal (section on Teaching, Learning, and Human Development) and Educational Psychologist. She has held both elected and appointed offices in the American Educational Research Association (AERA) and the American Psychological Association (APA). Corno is a Fellow of the AERA, APA, the Association for Psychological Science, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science. She is a board member emeritus of the National Society for the Study of Education.
